Phase Waves becomes a floating sculpture. Repeating waves and small delays shape the form; reflective strands give that motion a different presence.
Turquoise bodies, copper edges, and moving reflections draw attention to the way the strands bend and curl.
Look closer: the mathematics
An authored generative study based on the same phase-shifted wave model as Phase Waves. Blender changes the material, lighting and depth of the presentation. The work is not a fluid simulation or a measured organism.
