Nocturne
A landscape shifts as one sample gives way to another.
Behind the form
The same search. A different landscape.
A search finds its favorite setting. Then the same settings face a different sample. The surface lets you see how the landscape changes, and follow the original pick as it moves with it.
The surface follows the simulated scores. Light, fine strands, and shadows are a visual treatment; the glints do not encode another data variable.
Look closer: the mathematics
A seeded simulation using synthetic prices. The height represents Sharpe scores across 225 lookback and holding-period combinations. The loop interpolates between two fixed score grids: in-sample and out-of-sample. The transition is a visual comparison, not new observations arriving in time.
